Jatuporn's case takes time before reaching Constitution Court
The pre-trial review on the job qualifications of Pheu Thai MP Jatuporn Promphan might take time before the case would reach the Constitution Court, House Speaker Somsak Kiartsuranont said Friday.
Somsak said he has yet to receive the report from the Election Commission which ruled to disqualify Jatuporn on grounds that he had questionable party membership at the time he registered his candidacy to contest the July 3 general election.
"I am not going to stall but the Jatuporn case must undergo the vetting process just like other cases," he said, predicting that it might take months before the launch of judicial review.
